“Sparkles” will arrive in May 2011, recorded in the band’s studio ( a flat called “us random calculator”) among others songs that will be included in the next album. “Sparkles’” music is built on few instruments and simple arrangements, heavily influenced by the joy of spare times and the love for the “12th fret”. The songs recorded during the end of 2010 and beginning of 2011 are in the same “family”, a “family” with its root in such tracks as “Crawling down the stairs” (recorded for Amnesty International & Buffetlibre): easy texture, shimmering pop melody and “modern” sound with cheap vintage equipment.

LE MAN AVEC LES LUNETTES
Una band di Brescia, un nome d’oltralpe, un nome quasi francese che canta in inglese, importanti tour all’estero. Tracciano melodie che spaziano dal folk piu’ beatlesiano, ai colori dei Belle & Sebastian, fino ad incontrare i Grandaddy. Le armonie di voci, la sensazione che ogni momento, filtrato dalle lenti di questi Lunettes, sia unico … la band stessa scintilla preziosa nel pop moderno.

WELCOME BACK SAILORS
Dalla provincia reggiana i Welcome Back Sailors arrivano con un sorriso sulla spiaggia, i riflessi del sole sull’acqua come coriandoli o forse farfalle sui synth. Una voce scivola da lontano sui riverberi e sulle onde. Lei infila gli occhiali e tu cerchi di ricordare quello che è successo la notte prima, una busta piena di cartoline, drum machine morbide come cuscini all’ombra.
“I’ll be there” ti ha detto puntando il dito sulla cartina: Göteborg, la prossima meta, la stessa melodia che si distende, lo stesso cielo a riempirsi di suono terso, lo stesso vento a sollevarti le braccia. Ripartiremo presto, un altro viaggio.
