Machweo – No Way Out EP [FREE DOWNLOAD] by Machweo
Machweo vuol dire tramonto. Machweo è un progetto nato dalla volontà di trasmettere le suggestioni del tramonto in musica. Inizia il suo percorso di produzione musicale all’inizio del 2012 e il tutto prende forma nel luglio dello stesso anno con il suo primo Sunset EP che ha avuto un discreto ma comunque inaspettato credito dai blog e testate online specializzate.

Rigolo’ e’ il progetto di Andrea Carella, progetto solista “aperto”. Rigolo’ tenta di rimescolare musicalmente e nelle linee melodiche le carte del proprio passato musicale aggiungendo sguardi a nuovi suoni capaci di mescolare l’acustico, l’elettrico e l’elettronico. Attualmente il progetto si propone in trio per promuovere il nuovo EP “Can you hear me”, concepito ed eseguito con Jenny Burnazzi (violoncello) e Massimilaino Rassu (bass) e la collaborazione preziosa di Marcelo de Podesta’.

Making Marks, the band formerly known as mylittlepony (the band not the brand), arose from the ashes of before mentioned mylittlepony who between 2007 – 2012 released the EP “Songs in A Major” (2007), and the full lenght albums “Think Too Much” (2008) and “Making Marks” (2011). They also played hundreds of shows all over Europe, the US and Canada, won awards in Spain and had special album releases in Japan and the Phillippines. Naming their new band after mylittlepony’s last album, Making Marks seek to keep a strong link to their past, but also to start a new chapter, preferably one without so many ponies in it. Their new songs are songwriter Ola Innset perfecting his craft, but this time with an even stronger focus on vocal harmonies between himself and Nina Bø, and a slightly more electronic feel to the soundscape. mylittlepony was constantly likened to Belle & Sebastian, and Making Marks have no intention of losing that reference as their new music lies somewhere in between scottish 90′s twee pop, english 80′s alternative rock, american 70′s pop, and quite possibly norwegian death metal of the timeless sort.

Silver Rocket e’ un trio sporco, crudo, ubriaco, essenziale. Suonano chitarra, basso e batteria, lisci come il whiskey. Ogni tanto si sente il bisogno di perdersi, di svenire. Ecco, loro ti riportano subito sulla terra, con la botta di volumi che ti obbliga a spegnere il computer e uscire, ricordandoti quando la sera ti divertivi davvero. Sono scomodi come il bambino che odiavi all’asilo, quello che al tuo compleanno ti faceva cadere dalla sedia per far ridere gli altri. Il valore aggiunto sono la scelta dei suoni, impressionanti; la cura per i dettagli e la continuita’ data al primo efficace demo autoprodotto. A breve uscira’ il loro primo full-length “Old Fashioned”, la conferma che aspettavamo. Il disco e’ una vera bomba/carta/carbone che ti esplode in mano mentre loro stanno ancora ridendo nella loro cantina dentro le mura di Ferrara. Per tutti noi La Piola era la Factory, e loro sono stati concepiti li dentro, quando ogni venerdi il mondo si fermava e la polizia pure.

My bubba & Mi
My bubba & Mi is a daringly sweet pair of ladies, whose songs are slow and easy, teasing and pleasing. They call them lullabies from the countryside, with one part sweet talking, one part mumbo jumbo and one part pure wisdom. Bubba plays the guitar and the banjo, and My has a really old table harp. And they sing. Sweetly and simply, songs that stroke you like a banana cream pie and the sound of wood, and remind you of a great grandmother’s perfume.
It all started a couple of years ago in Copenhagen, when Bubba moved into My’s apartment by chance. They started spending evenings together humming homely hymns, and soon found themselves in Italy making a record; the very lovely ‘How it’s done in Italy’. Since then they have been touring around Europe playing over a hundred club shows, leaving charming impressions at Iceland Airwaves (IS), Into The Great Wide Open (NL), The Band Room (UK) and most recently at Eurosonic 2011 (NL).
Now touring with single ‘Bob’ (July ’11), and their soon to be released EP ‘Wild & You’ (Oct ’11), My bubba & Mi will appear in the Netherlands, Germany and Italy in September. In October they play Culture Collide Festival in LA & CMJ in NY, along with other US shows.

Non mancano le svisate psichedeliche, le belle melodie e le ritmiche intriganti, come se i Beatles e i Can si incontrassero a Canterbury per una jam e fosse proibito usare le chitarre. Natureboy is the music project of Sara Kermanshahi, a first generation of American of Iranian descent. A musical collaboration with Ceddar Apffel and Rory O´Connor (Masterface). The first project of Seth Faergolzia of Dufus in collaboration with Josh Channel, “Channel Faergolzia,” will be expecting release April 21, 2010. The two artists created a new combination in electronic and acoustic melding, with Faergolzia’s interstellar songwriting and Channel’s left of center electro-wizardry. It is a step in a more modern direction for Faergolzia, working in sequencing and using samples to create far different soundscapes than would be heard in past Dufus albums. He’ll be touring through Europe solo with the songs from this album, and at points in his set be singing the tracks Karaoke-style along with the use of horns and other odd instruments.

The San Francisco-based supergroup Still Flyin’ was assembled in late 2004 by singer/songwriter Sean Rawls. By the time he arrived on the West Coast he was already a veteran of various Athens, GA bands, including Masters of the Hemisphere and Je Suis France. For the latter band, Rawls wrote a reggae song, “Never Gonna Touch the Ground.” The song quickly became a live show staple and crowd favorite.
After relocating to San Francisco, the song seemed to have a life of its own and demanded to be jammed. Rawls decided he needed to form a band based on that song and the dream of Still Flyin’ was born. He asked virtually everyone he knew in his new city to join the reggae-inspired project, and to everyone’s surprise the first practice had fifteen people at it.
What might have begun as a lighthearted nod to good times soon became a juggernaut that no one in the band expected, and before long the group had become a San Francisco phenomenon. It didn’t hurt that this nascent supergroup counts members of bands such as Track Star, Aislers Set, Ladybug Transistor, Love Is All, Maserati, and Red Pony Clock amongst it’s rotating collective.

Ok Vancouver Ok is the music of Jeff OK, a multi-instrumentalist from Vancouver, Canada who has been recording both solo and in the company of friends and musicians since 2005. Given an open-door approach to collaboration his sound is adaptable and in the span of his eight albums he has traversed multiple sounds and genres. His concerts are likewise consistently unique given this shifting lineup, as well through a well honed ability to read his audiences and engage with them intimately. Jeff has a dynamic sound ranging from introspective acoustic folk pieces to multi-layered pop songs, yet always with the same enthusiasm for songcraft and spontaneity.
